Cut an MP3 in three steps

  1. Load the MP3Drop it on the box above or browse for it. It is decoded on your device.
  2. Pick the rangeDrag the two handles, or type exact start and end times. Play selection plays what you selected.
  3. ExportDownload an MP3 at 128, 192 or 320 kbps, or a WAV if you want no re-encoding.

Everything happens in the tab. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no queue and no file-size surprise on the server side.

Keep or remove — your choice

Keep selection exports only the highlighted part. This is the usual way to cut a chorus or a single sentence out of a longer recording.

Remove selection does the opposite: it exports everything except the highlighted part, joining the audio before and after it. Useful for cutting a mistake or a long pause out of the middle of a file.

Fade in and fade out apply a short ramp at the start and end of the exported file so a cut does not click. Play selection always plays the result you are about to download.

MP3 Cutter FAQ

Does trimming an MP3 reduce quality?

Re-encoding to MP3 loses a little quality. Choose WAV export if you need the original audio untouched.

Can I cut a song's chorus for a ringtone?

Yes. Drag the handles around the chorus, preview it, then export.
